How do I report problems/broken links/outdated information with the website?
Please submit issues to [email protected]. If for some reason your email does not go through, please contact [email protected].
Can I get a refund?
Most sales are fully refundable. Check your Order History in ConCat, find which order you wish to refund, hit the ellipses (“…”), then “Request Refund.” Please read the relevant policies (registration policies for registration, hotels for hotel reservations, etc.) before requesting.
Can I contribute art/writing/music to the convention?
We love working with creatives to bring our event to life each year! Please turn in a Volunteer Application in ConCat mentioning your desired creative contributions; please note we get many requests for artwork and often do not have enough tasks for all artists. If you are expecting a table/booth in return for your work, this would make you a contractor and we will need to contact you for terms.
How do I host a panel/meetup/act/concert?
Please wait for Programming to open its applications for the current year, then follow the application instructions and submit one. Keep in mind LVFC space is limited and we cannot approve every single applicant.
Are minors allowed to attend?
LVFC is 21+ indefinitely. Our parent organization plans to hold events for younger furs in the future.
Why the 21+ policies?
LVFC has adopted these policies largely to improve relationships with Vegas venues. Most Las Vegas venues are adult-oriented and see 18+ and 21+ conventions (especially when they’re new) as a means to reduce liability given the drinking and gambling age of 21.
Why should I register early?
If you wish to book a hotel room, you should book as early as possible. Hotel rooms are only open to registered attendees. There is an initial registration cap, designed to reduce the rush for hotel rooms. To have a chance at the greatest selection of hotel rooms, you should register as soon as you are able to.
If you are not planning to book a hotel room, there is no urgency, and you may book whenever. However, if you plan to stay in someone else’s room and they wish to stay at Alexis Park or Serene, you should still create an account so you can be listed as their roommate.
You can create an account at any time. It’s recommended to create an account ahead of time, so you are able to register more quickly once your wave eligibility opens.
Why are you on Easter?
Furries, as a whole, do not gamble. This restricts how many casino venues want furry business; casinos make up the vast majority of Las Vegas convention venues. This in turn limits negotiating power with non-casino properties. As a result, we are usually presented with a handful of less desirable dates such as Easter weekend, but this is the least concerning proposal; our alternatives are typically:
- The weekend before Thanksgiving
- The weekend before Christmas
- The weekend after New Years
- Weekdays
Why do you ID check some events when the con is 21+?
Badges can be swapped (which is against our Rules and grounds for a ban), so are not an adequate replacement for ID. Our event uses wristbands for attendees to reduce ID checks.
Is there a calendar of important dates and deadlines?
Yes, please see our Calendar page.
Will COVID-19 vaccines, tests, or masks be required?
We do not require masks as of 2025, but offer rewards to attendees with recent vaccinations. See full policies.
Is this con associated with this convention or this person?
Las Vegas Fur Con is a convention with a brand new team. It is not run by prior event organizers who used the #lasvegasfurcon hashtag in the past, nor Corgi Events, which hosted the 18+ only Sin City Murr Con. See our About Us to learn more about our history and board. Las Vegas Fur Con is run by a largely local team.
Why isn’t the convention at [venue]?
Most venues in Las Vegas have very high food and beverage commitments, in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is currently out of LVFC’s budget.
Why isn’t the party block towards the front?
The Extended Stay rooms at Alexis Park are more expensive but also feature kitchenettes. We have discovered that on average, party hosts are willing to pay more for these features than those wanting a quiet room.
Why won’t you issue a statement on banning or trespassing a person?
Issuing statements on bans and trespasses opens an event to defamation suits, as seen in legal cases here and here.
Hotel
Why does the hotel not have my information?
Our buyout properties are managed directly by the convention. Until we turn over the room list 3-4 weeks out from the event, the hotel will not have your name/info.
Why is there a $99/$198 surcharge on Installment 3?
With our rooms in high demand, we are experimenting with filling rooms to capacity. The “bundled registration” is meant to cover a second (and third, if applicable) roommate, incentivizing filling rooms with more people. These vouchers are emailed after Installment 3 comes due, and the cost can be recouped from roommates or friends who want the codes.
What do I do if I have multiple friends who registered already, but I received registration vouchers from the final deposit surcharge?
Have your friends request a refund. To request refunds, go into Order History, select the ellipses, and hit “Request Refund.” Your friends/roommates could then re-register with the voucher code given to you. Vouchers also do not expire, so you can keep them to use in a future year if you wish.
How do I extend my room reservation dates?
Each hotel has its own method of extending its room. Please consult each hotel’s page for details.
Do I need to be registered to stay at the convention’s hotels?
Rooms at our buyout hotels are managed directly by the convention and it is impossible to book without a registration. Registered attendees have priority for rooms and LVFC reserves the right to cancel any room in its blocks without a registration. Make sure your legal name in ConCat matches the legal name to avoid being flagged.
If I have access to multiple room blocks, can I book in all of them?
You may book in any block you have access to (Staff, Dealer, Super Sponsor, Attendee, etc.), but have a limit of one room per name.
You may not buy multiple rooms just because you have multiple access levels; e.g. a Staff Super Sponsor cannot book a staff room and then “give” their Super Sponsor room to a non-Super.
Why is room booking so early/different compared to other conventions?
Las Vegas is home to many corporate events which bring in a lot of money for hotels. To interest hotels in hosting LVFC, LVFC often needs to pay for rooms up-front. This requires us in turn to have attendees book early, so that we have enough money to pay the hotel when the deposits come due. We understand that this is different than many other furry conventions in the United States, but it is a necessary trade-off to be able to hold an event in Las Vegas. You can read more about our philosophy in this blog post.
Do Super Sponsors get earlier booking?
For 2026, Super Sponsors have their own block with extra amounts of high demand rooms—ground floor, party block, 2 beds—and so their block opens the same date as regular Attendees.
The Super Sponsor block has sufficient rooms across the Alexis Park and Serene hotels collectively to accommodate all Super Sponsors (until June 7), but we may not be able to accommodate preferences between these two hotels. For example, it is possible the Super Sponsor block can run out of Alexis Park rooms and only Serene rooms will be left.
Do Super Sponsors have a guaranteed room?
Until June 7, yes. After that date we cannot guarantee rooms for Super Sponsors. Rooms for Super Sponsors are at Alexis Park AND Serene.
