Las Vegas Fur Con is hosted in fabulous Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Resort and Serene Boutique. Our city is unique enough, but our venues also offer an apartment-style layout to make the convention even more unique.
LVFC is a 21+ event, so suiters wishing to interact with families would need to go to the Alexis Park lobby (we share it with theater shows) or to other properties.
We want all our fursuiting attendees to have safe and enjoyable experiences while visiting our city, so we have prepared additional information to consult when planning for LVFC.
1. Fursuit Policies Around Vegas
For increased safety, we recommend you always fursuit with a handler, especially if you are going to a place outside our convention hotels.
Most properties (with a casino or not) in Vegas do not allow fursuit heads (E.g. the Virgin Hotel allows suits so long as your head is off on property). You can likely walk the Strip’s sidewalks without issue, but will be confronted by security of any casino you walk into with a head on. In Downtown Vegas, meanwhile, you should not walk with your suit on at the Fremont Street Experience as you may be mistaken as a paid performer, which are regulated by law.
For the Strip in particular, please note that many crosswalks are elevated and the actual street is off-limits to pedestrians. You must use stairs, escalators or elevators to access the crosswalks.
The following properties explicitly allow fursuits:
- Alexis Park (Thursday 4/17 through Monday 4/21 at 12 PM)
- Serene Boutique (all dates so long as you don’t bother guests)
- Tuscany Suites (Thursday 4/17-4/20); suit heads cannot be worn in the casino or restaurants
- Hofbrauhaus (Thursday 4/17-Sunday 4/20)
All other properties, we recommend asking them ahead before showing up with suits.
2. Elevators
Our event centers on Alexis Park and Serene.
Alexis Park has only two floors for its guest rooms, but no elevators to access them, only stairs.
All of Alexis Park event space is ground level except the Rooftop Terrace/Rooftop Stage.
Alexis Park has an elevator to access the Rooftop Stage, but it is ADA only. All attendees, including fursuiters, will have to use either the exterior stairwell by the pool or the interior stairwell next to the convention center doors to go to the Rooftop, which is approximately 2 floors up. Please plan accordingly.
Serene has elevators inside its various hotel buildings. All space at Serene, such as its courtyard, is ground level.
3. Wristbands
LVFC uses wristbands to minimize the need for ID checks to get inside its spaces. Wristbands are picked up at registration in Apollo (when facing the Alexis Park lobby from the front entrance, Apollo is the doors furthest to the right).
If you are unable to show your wrist while in suit, you will be asked to remove your head for an ID check to access convention space.
4. Fursuit Lounges
While many suiters at LVFC go to their rooms to recharge, we have multiple lounges for suiters to relax and keep hydrated.
Alexis Park Room 2301 is at the back of property, near our Noisy Block, so is optimal for suiters hanging around our many gatherings. Planned hours are TBD.
Alexis Park Room [TBD] is our lounge at front of property. Planned hours are TBD.
Your health and safety always come first. If you start to feel unwell while suiting, please take your head off to help stay cool, and ask others for assistance. You may be experiencing dehydration and/or heat exhaustion. Please note if emergency services find you unresponsive, you are likely to be cut out of your suit.
