The Serene is our other primary hotel, being adjacent to Alexis Park (it’s about a 3 minute walk from entrance to entrance). Its 142 rooms are laid out around a central 30,000 square foot courtyard with pool. Most of Serene’s rooms are closer to the Alexis Park convention center than some Alexis Park’s rooms due to Alexis Park’s horizontal layout.

Serene’s rooms feature free Wi-Fi and breakfast for two at the hotel’s restaurant.

Accessibility: To reserve an ADA room with a roll-in shower, book a Single King and ask for an ADA room at checkin; the Serene has 4 ADA rooms. The Serene’s upstairs rooms are accessible by elevators.

Booking Dates: The con has Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as a full buyout. The Serene has a 4 night minimum for buyout dates.

Booking Process: Serene rooms are booked via deposits in ConCat, our registration platform. You must pay one night’s room, resort fee and tax up front to secure a room. Additional deposits must be paid by January 8th, February 8th, and March 8th.

These deposits are fully refundable until 60 days before the convention (February 17th in 2025); after this date, the first deposit is forfeit. Deposits are marked by Room Type Deposit 1, Room Type Deposit 2, etc.

Some rules:

  • You cannot purchase a room without a registration (you can purchase both in one order), and you can only buy the same room types in sequence (e.g. if you want a King Suite Deposit 2, you must have King Suite Deposit 1). If you want to switch rooms, you must buy the other room type’s first Deposit, then ask to refund your current room type.
  • Unpaid rooms will be cleared after 30 minutes. This keeps room open for other attendees.
  • If you book after a Deposit Due Date, you must pay the amount due by that point, e.g. if you book after January 8th, you must pay Deposit 1 and 2. If you book after February 8th, you must pay Deposit 1, 2, and 3.
  • All deposits are made manually (that is, you must pay for them in ConCat; there is no automatic withdrawal).
  • We sometimes add the next deposits to accounts as a reminder. Check your cart when going to pay for your next deposit.

Transparency: LVFC understands this booking process is a bit unusual. However, to book the Serene, we had to agree to pay for all rooms directly and resell them to attendees. We agreed to this so we could secure a buyout venue close to the Alexis Park. We lack the operating funds (most revenue comes in closer to con) to pay all the scheduled hotel deposits out of pocket, so our booking process involves a series of deposits from all Serene reservations to ensure we can make payments.

Rooms on Serene buyout nights are sold ONLY through ConCat; if anyone tries to sell a room to you directly, please block and report them. LVFC staff will never contact you directly to sell rooms or sell them through other means; rooms are only sold/cancelled via ConCat.

Reservation Extensions: To book nights before or after the convention, book directly at Serene’s website. Do not contact the hotel about LVFC-managed reservations; they will not understand as they do not have our booking information until after April 3rd.

Cancellations: If you must cancel your room for the buyout nights, go into your Order History and request refunds on your Serene rooms. Please note the February 17th, 2025 cutoff for the first deposit.

Identification: The Serene requires the name on the credit card used to reserve the room and photo ID match. LVFC is a 21+ convention, and guests must be 21 with a government ID to check in.

Check-In/Check-Out Policies. When you check in to the hotel, you will be charged a flat security deposit of $100; any nights outside the buyout will incur a $200 refundable incidental. The incidental deposit will be refunded after checkout if the room is not damaged. We recommend using a credit card to pay the incidental deposit as debit cards can take longer to release after checkout. Check-in time is 4 PM, but the hotel allows early checkin (based on availability) for a fee of $35. 12 PM checkout is complementary; every hour after that is $35/hour.

Parking: Free for all guests/attendees.

Fursuit Policies: Fursuits are welcome all days.

Parties

Parties are allowed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (our “buyout dates”). The Serene has a No Party Policy on all other dates. “Parties” are defined as gatherings of more than 4 people in a room. If hotel security finds a room in violation of this policy, they can evict without warning.

The Serene has Quiet Hours of 10 PM. Doors and windows must be closed after this time, and music must be kept low; turn off subwoofers or anything amplifying sound.

Nightly Rates (Inc. $33 Resort Fee and 13.38% Tax)

  • Single King: $175 ($153.76 plus occupancy tax of $21.24).
  • King with View: $180 ($155.81 plus occupancy tax of $24.19)
  • King Suite: $200 ($181.40 plus occupancy tax of $23.60). Comes with a sofa bed.
  • King Suite with View: $215 (189.04 plus occupancy tax of $25.96). Comes with a sofa bed.
  • 2 Queens: $230 ($207.58 plus occupancy tax of $22.42).
  • 2 Queens with View: $240 ($215.22 plus occupancy tax of $24.78)
  • 2 Queen Suite: $245 ($220.81 plus occupancy tax of $24.19)
  • 2 Queen Suite with View: $260 ($233.45 plus occupancy tax of $26.55)
